Stearamidoethyl Ethanolamine

Stearamide refers to the amide of stearic acid (octadecanamide), called "ethanolamine" (monoethanolamine or MEA), a compound from the group of alkanolamines.

Stearamidoethyl ethanolamine is used in cosmetic formulations. The mixture of substances acts as an emulsifier (a surface-active substance which is used in cosmetic products as an additive to combine two immiscible liquids - e.g. oil and water - to form an emulsion).
